University of Southern California. I was awarded a full-tuition scholarship to attend the University of Southern California, where I graduated with honors from the USC Marshall School of Business and the USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism.
While at USC, I was the captain of the Trojan Debate Squad and ranked among the top 20 teams in the nation, debating topics that included: US military presence, presidential war powers, energy/climate policy, and numerous other domestic, foreign, and legal controversies. Located in the heart of LA, USC offered incredible networking for post-graduate opportunities. Now that I am working in the area, I love going back for SC football and basketball games. Fight on!
Blue Valley School District K-12. I am also a proud graduate from the Blue Valley School District in Kansas, having attended Lakewood Elementary, Lakewood Middle School, and Blue Valley West High School.
The Blue Valley school district is a highly recognized school district. It has a 97.4% graduation rate. It has received many recognitions. In particular, "All five Blue Valley high schools were named to the U.S. News & World Report's best high schools list and The Washington Post's most challenging high schools list."
Course Work and Honor Societies. In high school, I was recognized as a Kansas Honors Scholar for ranking in the top percent of graduating seniors, Class of 2012, in the state of Kansas. I completed multiple AP courses including Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Economics, English, European History, Literature, US government, and US history. I was also a member of the National Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars, and National Forensics League.
Volunteer Efforts. During summer time, I volunteered at Johnson County Library and Children's Mercy Hospital.
